Cobham Wireless Connect - September 2015

Cobham Wireless Connect

It's been a busy few months since the launch of Cobham Wireless in July this year, in this first edition of 'Connect' we provide you with the latest news and updates from across the business. This month we delve into 5G, hosting ETSI's Network Function Virtualisation event, and the latest from our digital DAS product range.

Cobham Wireless was formed as a result of the coming together of global test and measurement vendor, Aeroflex Wireless, and leading DAS provider, Axell Wireless. If you would like to find out more, please click on the button below.

The road to 5G, with Dr Li-Ke Huang

5G is probably the most-hyped new wireless technology generation yet, and even before any standards are defined there is much speculation about the level of performance it will offer and the applications it will be able to support.

The host with the most: why we're hosting ETSI's Network Function Virtualisation event

The promise of NFV is a huge one; virtualised network functions that massively reduce both CAPEX and OPEX for mobile operators and network equipment manufacturers alike, whilst enabling a much faster 'time-to-market' when it comes to services and products. But how do we get there?

Presenting idDAS: Intelligent Digital DAS

Digital DAS allows mobile operators to dynamically allocate capacity to areas only where and when it is needed, either based on pre-defined schedules or dynamically when the need arises.
